Graduating with Honors in 2006, Cathryn double majored in Comparative Literature and Harp Performance at Brigham Young University. Catherine performed with, and helped direct the BYU Harp Ensemble for five years, and was the principal harpist for BYU's premier orchestra for two years.
Since her time at BYU, Cathryn has substituted as principal harpist for the Las Vegas Philharmonic, and played at various public and private events and weddings at the major Las Vegas Strip hotels, and throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Awarded third place in 1997 and first place in 1998 at the Utah State Fair Competition in Salt Lake City.
Principal harpist for BYU's premier orchestra for two years.
Finalist in a National College Harp Competition (the Anne Adams) in June 2004.
Cathryn began harp lessons at the age of eight years old. As a student, she traveled with her teacher and other students to perform for events in Chicago, Seattle, Australia, and Prague. She was among twenty young harpists who performed at the opening of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.
Her teachers include ShruDeLi Ownbey, Konrad Nelson, and Elzbieta Smzyt. Cathryn loves meeting individually with clients to choose the perfect music for their events - from purely Classical to Pop, Broadway, and movie scores. Cathryn also enjoys maintaining a private harp studio and teaching the Suzuki method.
